Recent Workshop Make and Takes.

My last two home workshops had me sharing the Stampin' Up! love with a great bunch of ladies. The  great hostesses Rachel and Faye were just brill and made me most welcome, even providing us all with chocolate, there is really no better way to craft........!

At Rachel's we made another Diorama card this time using the Bird Builder Punch the Itty Bitty Punches and a colour palette of Pear Pizzazz and Perfect Plum.  Everyone did a sterling job and the 3D effect that this card offered was a big hit.

At Faye's we made a card using the 'baby wipe technique', with a detachable bookmark inspired by Mary Fish, using the Simply Scored tool. Bright colours, Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie, nice and zingy.  The ladies made a lovely job of them, well done girls.

Bright Blossoms is one of the new Stamp sets from the Summer Mini and a great little set, very versatile.

Home workshops are always fun and Hostesses can earn great rewards for having a few friends around for a fun time stamping a great little project like the ones you see above.  But it gets even better during June and July Hostesses can earn an extra £30 to spend on top of the other great rewards for a qualifying party! There's never been a better time to book a home workshop, if you would like more info or you would like to book one I'd love to help.

The Train (ing) is coming!

Or rather I'm going to the training.  This Saturday sees my first attendance at a Stampin'Up training event that is being held in Reading.  I am looking forward to it very much, but I am a little snowed under with the swaps!!  These are also my first proper swaps made in large numbers, and I am trying to use goodies from the new Summer mini catalogue, available to the UK officially on May 1st.  That's one of the great things about being a demo, we do get to order some things in advance and to have a play and make some lovely samples with all the new booty, and there are some fabulous new products in the mini...........but you will have to wait until next week to feast your eyes on what the Summer Mini has to offer............! But there are a few new things on the next few piccies if you don't tell that I showed you! (wink, wink!!)

A couple of weeks ago I went to my first Inkaholics shoebox swap, with Jane, Caroline and Trevor and we all sat together chatted drank tea and made each others card designs.  It was lovely to meet them all and I really enjoyed putting together their lovely cards.  Jane. Trevor and Caroline had all chosen the same stamp set from the new Summer Mini for their cards and as it was one I hadn't ordered it was lovely to get to use it and it has a co-ordinating punch that is going to be a new favourite I'm certain.
My pre-order hadn't yet arrived so my card was using product from the main Idea Book and Catalogue.  I managed to scare everyone with the amount of punching and sticking involved on my florist shop window card, oh yes and there was masking too  - ummm!,  note to self, enough with the build a bungalow card thing already!!!!!  Less is more and I will take away a lesson well learned from the shoebox swap!  Thanks for your patience though Inkaholics teamies!!!

So back to the Reading swaps - I could be here some time............................................!
